Our rapeseed oil is cold-pressed right here in Aberdeenshire as close as possible to the golden fields in which our crops are grown.
The North East of Scotland is an area steeped in agriculture with a rich mix of arable crops, prime cattle and sheep raised on land stretching from its fertile fishing coast to the magnificent Grampian mountains.
ÒR-ganic is the only organic rapeseed oil produced here in the United Kingdom.
Delicious, golden, healthy, and traceable from field to bottle, it has been described as the ‘Holy Grail’ of cooking oils. It is ideal for foodies, conscientious consumers, chefs and as a luxurious gift.
Multi-award-winning Chef Gary Maclean loves OR-ganic, telling us that “it is the BEST oil I have ever used”. We are so proud of this accolade from the man fondly known as Scotland’s National Chef as he certainly knows his onions!
With its rich, nutty flavour ÒR-ganic is perfect for dipping and drizzling, in dressings, marinades and salsas.
Growing organic oilseed rape crops on UK farms is almost impossible. A group of farmers in Aberdeenshire, and elsewhere in the East of Scotland, is pushing the frontiers and doing what has never been done in the UK before - so that you can enjoy premium ÒR-ganic rapeseed oil for the first time.
“Despite the challenges, my attitude is ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. Ultimately, healthy organic soil leads to a healthy organic crop and the best possible organic rapeseed oil. I certainly want to be eating a British product rather than one imported from elsewhere and so that’s why I grow for ÒR-ganic.”
OR-ganic is the UK’s first commercially available fully organic certified oil produced in the UK and is the result of a six-year development project with a small group of organic farmers in the North of Scotland. Our organic cold pressed rapeseed oil has received excellent reviews for its amazing taste and premium branding and is stocked by a number of quality independent retailers.
With a new production facility in place, we are looking for the right individual to join our small team to support our stockists and to further grow and develop sales across the UK. The role will involve maintaining good relationships with existing stockists and building contact with new stores in the speciality food sector. We envisage that it will be a part-time role (15-20 hours per week).
We are based near Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, but expect this role to be working-from-home (with supplier visits and tastings as required). Accordingly, there is no geographic limitation on where you can be based within the UK.
We would love to hear from passionate food-focused individuals who would like to help us to make our special wee brand even better. Apply to hello@or-ganic.co.uk detailing your experience and what you can bring to the role.
We shall be keeping you informed here as to where you can buy ÒR-ganic instore. You will be able to find us in independent delicatessens, other high end retailers and restaurants across the UK. If you would like to stock ÒR-ganic, we would love to hear from you.

JUDGES FEEDBACK
"This is a lovely golden colour and it has a really grassy aroma – a proper scent of summer fields. On the palate, this is smooth and silky, hinting at freshly mown grass, and ending in a buttery finish, which suggests this would delight those vegans who still miss butter! It is a beautiful oil, richly flavourful, moreish and undoubtedly a versatile ingredient for many dishes, as well as an excellent complement to bright salads, such as peppery rocket."
"A wonderful golden oil with a clean fresh aroma. It has great viscosity with a buttery mouthfeel that releases a clean, fresh, tasty oil. There's a wonderful balance between nutty notes and fresh grass. This is a wonderful example of a quality rapeseed oil: simple, pure, clean and delicious."
